What class is for me?

Chair based: On line via zoom and face to face at Cornerstone Community Centre, Church Road, Hove, BN3 2FL. This is a class for those who would prefer not to get down on to the floor. In addition to working on strength and mobility, we will also be looking at balance and coordination.

Chair based/Seated: On line via zoom This is a class for both those who would prefer to exercise sitting down and those who are happy to stand. Exercises are layered to suit everyone’s needs and there is ample opportunity to progress through the layers at a pace that feels right for you.

Mat work: On line via zoom and face to face at Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AF. This is a class for anyone interested in a more conventional Pilates session. About

John runs a friendly, relaxed class for people looking for a gentle introduction to physical activity. If you find getting up from a chair more difficult than you used to, if the idea of going to a gym does not appeal or if you need to resort to scissors to open a bag of crisps, you may find these Pilates based exercises helpful. No need to hunt out those leotards or running shorts, just bring some enthusiasm and wear comfortable clothes. He promises never to shout at you for leaving your PE kit at home.
